Karen, thanks for the question. We do not sell phones to any middle eastern country. All old phones that can not be used on current cell phone networks are broken down for their raw materials. This is done with a high tech incinerator that has zero emissions. The phone is burnt so that all of the metals are able to be extracted off of the phone. There is no way that these phones can ever be used again.

The phones that are usable are sent to refurbisher's to be ultimately used in the U.S. cell phone market. Our cell phones do not support terrorism of any kind.

I just had a question and wondered if anyone has run accross this problem. When asking for old phone, someone had mentioned about where they are going. They were afraid of them being sent overseas to be used in explosive devices. How can we assure them that this in not where the phones are going?

My daughter's group is trying to raise money for a trip to Australia this summer. We have gotten all the Sprint stores in our area (5) to put boxes in there stores to collect unwanted cell phones. Belive it or not people buy new phones and just leave them at the stores for them to dispose of. They have phones that they can't send back and don't really have a place to put them. A very easy way to get phones. We have also gotten into all the Cingular stores too. I just wanted to share this hint with everyone trying to do this fund raiser. It isn't that hard if you put your mind to it. Have fun out there.
